The 2028 Summer Olympics return to Los Angeles for the first time since 1984, running from July 14-30, 2028. With 36 sports across 49 venues throughout Southern California, LA28 will be the largest Summer Games in history.
Key Schedule Changes for LA 2028
LA28 features historic schedule changes designed to maximize the fan experience. Track and field moves to the first week (July 15-24), starting with the women's 100m on Day 1. Swimming shifts to Week 2 (July 21-29), with a temporary pool installed inside SoFi Stadium creating an unprecedented 70,000+ seat swimming venue.
