How GoalTickets Works

Last updated:

GoalTickets is an independent U.S.-based secondary ticket marketplace: you buy resale tickets for major events at the price shown, your tickets are delivered electronically through the organizer's own system, and every order is covered by the GoalTickets 100% guarantee. We are not the event organizer or the official box office. GoalTickets (GOAL T INC) was founded in 2011 in Long Beach, California, and has sold over 1 million tickets since then.

How it works, in five steps

  1. Find your event and category. Choose your event, date and seating category: French Open, Wimbledon, Rugby World Cup 2027, the LA 2028 Summer Games or Celine Dion in Paris. Ticket categories explained shows what each category means.
  2. Understand the price. GoalTickets is a secondary (resale) market, so prices are set by supply and demand and can be above or below face value. The displayed price is final: no GoalTickets service, booking or delivery fee is added at checkout. See Payment, currencies and fees.
  3. Place your order. Check your event, date and quantity, then pay through secure checkout. Every order is covered by the GoalTickets 100% guarantee, set out below, and seats bought together are covered by our seats-together guarantee (Will our seats be together?). All sales are final.
  4. Receive your tickets electronically. Tickets are delivered through the organizer's official app or ticketing system where one exists, following the organizer's own release schedule, so delivery timing varies by event.
  5. Attend. Follow the organizer's mobile-ticket and ID rules on the day. Venue entry on event day covers what to bring and when to arrive.

Where the tickets come from

Tickets sold on GoalTickets come from our network of ticket holders and suppliers, and every order is checked before delivery. If you have a question about a specific listing, call or WhatsApp us on +1 (562) 682-9403 before you buy.

Why prices differ from face value

Face value is the price the organizer set at the original sale. Once that allocation is sold, tickets trade at market value: prices rise when demand outstrips the seats that remain and fall when there are more seats than buyers. That is why a GoalTickets price can be above or below face value, and why it can change from one day to the next. Whatever the market does, the number on the product page is what you pay. More in Why resale ticket prices change.

How tickets are delivered

Tickets are delivered electronically before your event, through the organizer's official app or ticketing system where one exists. French Open tickets, for example, are delivered in the official Roland-Garros app; other events use a mobile or electronic transfer linked to the email address on your order. Organizers release tickets on their own schedule, so some tickets arrive close to the event date. Event-by-event details are in How are my tickets delivered?

What the 100% guarantee covers

Every order is covered by the GoalTickets 100% guarantee. In the words of our Refunds, Cancellations and the 100% Guarantee page: “We guarantee that all tickets sold on our platform are 100% authentic and will grant entry to the event.” And from our 100% Guarantee page: “Your tickets will be in your hands well before the event, or your money back.”
