Wimbledon Centre Court Seating Plan: Capacity, Gangways and Debenture Seats
Centre Court holds just under 15,000 spectators. The figure usually given is 14,979 seats; the AELTC's current ticket pages don't state a total, so treat it as approximate. The AELTC does publish that 2,520 of those seats are debenture seats. Seats are reached through numbered gangways on four public levels: 101 to 115 (Level 1, nearest the court), 201 to 212 (Level 2), 301 to 318 (Level 3) and 501 to 523 (Level 5), with the Royal Box at the south end.
How to read the Centre Court seating plan
- Gangway numbers tell you the level. The first digit is the level: 100s are Level 1, 200s Level 2, 300s Level 3 and 500s Level 5. Your ticket shows your gangway, row and seat.
- Four halls. The AELTC's plan groups the gangways into the North West, North East, South West and South East halls, which is where you enter the bowl.
- Royal Box. It sits at the south end of the court, between gangways 201 and 212.
- Side or end view. The court runs north to south on the plan, so gangways on the east and west sides (for example 102 to 105 and 111 to 114 on Level 1) look across the court, while the north and south ends look down its length.
- Level 5 access. The plan shows outside staircases for gangways 501 to 504, and outside staircases with lifts for 511 to 523.
- Accessible viewing. The plan marks accessible viewing at gangways 101, 109, 209, 507, 517 and 521.

Which seats are best?
It depends on what you want from the day. Level 1 puts you closest to the grass. Level 2 is where our chart places the debenture seats, with a raised view of the whole court. Levels 3 and 5 are higher up. Side-on gangways look across the court; end gangways look down its length, the angle most television coverage uses. Whatever you choose, children under 5 are not allowed into the Show Courts.
No.1 Court at a glance
No.1 Court is Wimbledon's second show court. It has 1,250 debenture seats, and a new No.1 Court debenture series covers 2027 to 2031.
